The Martian is based in three different areas; there
is Mark Watney who is on Mars the space team who is flying to save Mark and
back on Earth in the NASA base in Houston, Texas. The Director has these three
sections switching from each; each group can’t speak to the next.

just the environment in which he is trapped in. The Martian is a possible future; The Martian is
set in 2050s in which a journey to Mars is very possible. Other films set in
the future have an unrealistic feel as they are set so far in the future that everything
is unrealistic.
