The players that the A's try an sign are all of the players who are majorly underrated, they are underrated because of they way they are either they are to old, over weight or play the game differently. Jonah Hill's character is showing everyone that these men are world class players who were never given a chance in life because they are different. the message is that you should never judge a person on looks alone.
